  6. 20205 Race Night

Once again Vicky, Jackie and Linda T organised a fantastic evening last night.   Nearly 60 people betted, prayed and, in most cases lost, as their horses limped up to the finish line.  Thanks to everyone who took part with great enthusiasm and made it one of the most entertaining evenings,  a lot of laughter, cheers and boos.

Well Sheilagh was in the jokey zone looking amazing I’m sure you would all agree. The night was fantastic with over £300 being raised for the club. The social committee really came up trumps. The atmosphere was amazing with lots of laughter and participation.

  9. 2025 The New Bar

THE BAR IS FINISHED: Well done to all those who put their time in getting it to look great. We all appreciate your hard work so a BIG THANK YOU to all of you. The Bar Refurbishment work started the morning of the 6th January with a grand clear out of fridges, glasses etc. The kitchen has been fitted out as a temporary bar which means the coffee making area is very restricted. Please be careful when using kettles of boiling water and do not take chances trying to balance too many mugs in the vicinity. Likewise the committee room has had to be used as a temporary “dumping” ground for various items so again please be careful when in there. Painting done, papering is well on the way and its looking good. Work carried out to give you an idea of what is involved. Flushing out the beer lines, Packing glasses, Removing the spirit optic frames, Removing the rear worktop, Cutting the rear worktop to size
